Chris Walsh

Media Arts Director




Christopher Walsh has been a member of Blackout since its inception. He has been an actor, writer, designer, videographer, editor and advisor to Blackout productions. He served as the troupes Script Supervisor and handles the group's visual media endeavors.

Christopher hails from the small town of Los Lunas, New Mexico. He attended Emerson College where he received a bachelor's degree in Visual Media Arts.
There he produced, directed, and wrote several award winning shorts. His "Chili Fever" won Audience Choice Award at the Local Shorts II Film Festival. The semi- autobiographical short entitled "Snippets" won him Best Advanced Video Production at the 25th Evvy Awards. His films have been shown at several venues and festivals throughout New Mexico. In theatre, Christopher has worked with the comedy group Eat, Drink, and Be Larry. He performed in the original Blackout show Panic. He wrote and performed several Blackout Tonight's, Blackout's renowned sketch comedy show, and also provided live music playing with his band Evol
Lived. He recently designed the set for Blackout's production of the The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged).

Currently, Christopher is working in the New Mexico film industry. He has just finished producing his first feature-length documentary, Off the Beaten Path: A Journey into the Mongolian Steppe.
