Jeff Andersen

Artistic Director



Jeff Andersen graduated from UNM in 2007 with a B.A. in Theatre Education and is a founding member of Blackout. Stage credits include: Bishop in "Fat Men in Skirts" (Theatre X), Edmund in "King Lear" (Vortex Theatre) and Jsson Chenier (Desert Rose Theatre) in "Take Me Out." He also has several
directing credits including "Hurlysburly" (Theatre X) and "Queen" (Gorilla Tango Theatre).  Jeff has also co-written for "Ghetto Thunder" (Theatre X), "Blackout High: The Reunion" (The Box Theatre), and several "Blackout Tonight" sketch shows.


In addition to these Jeff has performed in several improvisational shows (both long form and short form) including the improvised sitcom "Teacher's Lounge" (Aux Dog Theatre) and "The Q" (The Box Theatre).  He has also designed set for "Carlos' Travels" and ligh
ts for "Steel Magnolias" and the John Chavez Theatre. Jeff is also an educator who has taught for UNM's Theatre Classes for Children, UNM's College Prep Program, and Albuquerque Public Schools.  Jeff is constantly working around Albuquerque, New Mexico and continues to
act, write, design and direct for Blackout.
